Former Finance Minister Nick Minchin and former Labor
Senator John Black, who fought to defeat Gillard’s notorious
former boyfriend, Bruce Wilson, in AWU elections, both call
for a royal commission into the slush fund scandal. Minchin
says the Liberals should pay boat people more than $30 a
day if they work for their dole. Black is appaled by his own
party’s police. Black’s tip: Kevin Rudd now has about 40 votes
in Caucus, Shorten is building up his own numbers - about 12
- and the maths then becomes obvious. He says Gillard will
not last to the election.
